I took a slight detour from the previous series I was walking in relation to where I placed my security, confidence and assurance. For context, you can read all the blogs in the series: 304: Is there a Cure for Insecurity? 305: CONsequences of Insecurity 306: Removing the Illusion of the Beauty System 307: 'The Look' of Limitation 308: The First Mistake we Make in Relationships This blog specifically is the self corrective statements for the most recent blog within this point, 309: Giving Me Security When and as I see myself looking outside of me here, for a sense of security, confidence and assurance through/as a relationship with another, in their words or actions, I stop and I breathe and do not allow myself to continue participating in this search as I see/realize/understand that I am missing the point of me here as the point that is to be established as self secure, self confident and self assured and so I commit myself to stop myself when/as I see myself e...

In se...

Anyways, I really started challenging myself in terms of what I had accepted of myself and through these acceptances , how I defined myself. So I stopped wearing make-up to embrace myself 'naturally'. It has been a cool process and I can honestly say I don't 'need' it, I don't really miss it and that is very cool considering how much I once enslaved myself to make-up. The point ultimately was to find out who I am without it, if I can actually care about myself without it, if I can actually embrace myself without it, realizing that the use of it was se...
